CD4+ T helper cells (Th cells), also called T helper cells, CD4+ cells or helper T lymphocytes, are a type of white blood cells that serve as the key mediator in the adaptive immune response. Human CD4+ T cells “help” recruit and activate other immune cells by releasing cytokines and chemokines and are also critical for memory maintenance. Activated helper cells differentiate into effector subtypes (e.g., Th1, Th2, Th17, Treg), with each having distinguishable expression pattern and function. CD4+ cells are the primary target of HIV infection. Impaired T helper cells are often associated with hypersensitivity, immunodeficiency and the CD4+ count can be indicative index of impaired immune system, which is especially useful in screening and diagnosis of coronavirus infection.
Why choose Human PB CD4 helper T cells from AcceGen?
AcceGen Human pb CD4 helper T cells are isolated from peripheral blood of healthy donors. Cells are cryopreserved immediately after isolation to ensure 90% viability. Each vial contains more than 10^7 cells. Human peripheral blood CD4+ T cells are isolated by negative immunomagnetic selection. All cell lots are tested negative for HIV-1, HBV, HCV, mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast, and fungi. Cells should be preserved in Liquid Nitrogen vapor phase upon receive.

For research use only
Human peripheral blood (PB) CD4 helper T cells provide an ideal culture model for studying its role in immunoregulatory activities and immunological disease. These cells can also be useful in studying cytokine expression, special and functional heterogenicity, subtype characteristics and immunotherapy.
