Fibroblasts are the principal cellular component of loose connective tissue. Under physiological conditions in pulmonary tissue, the main functions of fibroblasts include: constructing and maintaining the normal morphology of the lungs, synthesizing and releasing extracellular matrix, providing the material basis for efficient gas exchange in lung tissue and cells, forming the primary framework of lung tissue, maintaining the normal physiological functions of lung epithelial and endothelial cells, and promptly aggregating in large numbers to repair damaged tissue after injury. Under pathological conditions, fibroblast proliferation and transformation occur pathologically, accompanied by progressive abnormal accumulation of extracellular matrix, which replaces the normal pulmonary tissue structure, leading to pulmonary fibrosis.
Human Lung Adenocarcinoma Fibroblasts are isolated from Lung adenocarcinoma tissues. Each vial contains >5 x 105 cells in 1 ml volume.
