Human Frozen/Untouched PB CD19+/CD27+ Memory B cells are a specialized population of B cells isolated from peripheral blood mononuclear cells. Through positive immunomagnetic separation, cells expressing various markers such as CD2, CD14, CD16, CD36, CD43, and CD235a are removed, resulting in an enriched CD19+ fraction. Subsequently, CD27+ cells are further enriched from the CD19+ fraction using immunomagnetic anti-CD27 particles, resulting in purified CD19+CD27+ memory B cells. Before cryopreservation, these isolated cells are characterized using flow cytometry to ensure high purity and viability.

Peripheral blood CD19+CD27+ memory B cells play a crucial role in the immune response to primary infections. They can remain dormant for extended periods and persist in the body for years or even a lifetime after encountering a specific antigen. This persistence allows for a rapid antibody response if the host is re-exposed to the same pathogen, contributing to effective immune defense.

Why choose Human Frozen/Untouched PB CD19+/CD27+ Memory B cells from AcceGen?

Human Frozen/Untouched PB CD19+/CD27+ Memory B cells are isolated in compliance with Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocols and consent forms. Additional documentation, such as high-resolution HLA typing and CMV status, can be obtained upon request. Acid-citrate-dextrose solution A (ACDA) is used as an anticoagulant during collection. Donors are screened for HIV-1, HIV-2, hepatitis B, and hepatitis C.

Application

  • FOR RESEARCH USE ONLY

  • Human Frozen/Untouched PB CD19+/CD27+ Memory B cells have various applications. They serve as an essential model for evaluating the therapeutic effects of antibodies, enabling the assessment of maintenance regimens for disorders like neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder. This evaluation supports the development of personalized treatment approaches, potentially reducing cumulative doses without compromising efficacy. Additionally, these cells contribute to understanding the immune response to viral infections, enabling the development of more effective vaccines and antiviral strategies. Comparing CD19+/CD27+ Memory B cells with other B lymphocytes provides insights into unique immunological traits and mechanisms underlying long-term immunity, aiding in the optimization of targeted therapeutic interventions.
