The lymphatic system is an essential part of the immune system.
Human Dermal Lymphatic Endothelial Cells (HDLEC) are isolated from human dermal tissue and cryopreserved after primary culture to ensure high viability. These lymphatic endothelial cells are characterized by immunofluorescence staining for CD31, podoplanin, and LYVE‑1, confirming their lymphatic identity. They can undergo up to 15 population doublings in vitro. HDLEC play a vital role in maintaining dermal fluid homeostasis, immune cell trafficking, and lymphangiogenesis. To preserve cell quality and functionality, repeated freeze‑thaw cycles should be strictly avoided during culture. The cells undergo rigorous screening and isolation procedures, and are rigorously tested to ensure they are free of contamination from HIV-1, HBV, HCV, syphilis, mycoplasma, fungi, yeast, and bacteria.

Human Dermal Lymphatic Endothelial Cells are widely used as an in vitro model to study lymphangiogenesis, lymphatic vessel biology, and immune cell trafficking within the skin. These cells provide critical insights into the molecular mechanisms of lymphatic disorders, inflammation, and tumor metastasis. They also serve as an important platform for evaluating potential therapeutic agents targeting lymphatic vascular diseases and for understanding skin immune responses.
