Human Ankylosing Spondylitis Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells (PBMCs) are isolated from the blood of patients diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis (AS), a chronic inflammatory autoimmune disease that primarily affects the spine and sacroiliac joints. These PBMCs consist of a mixture of monocytes, T cells, B cells, and natural killer (NK) cells, which play key roles in the inflammatory response. They can be utilized in various assays, such as cytokine production assays, flow cytometry, and proliferation assays, to investigate the cellular and molecular mechanisms driving AS and to test potential treatments that target specific immune pathways involved in the disease.
