CCR4 represents CC chemokine receptor 4 (CCR4), also known as CD194, belonging to the G protein-coupled receptor family. CCR4 is composed of a polypeptide chain with 7 transmembrane domains. It consists of 360 amino acids with a molecular weight of 41kD. CCR4 is mainly expressed in various lymphocytes and tissues. As an important chemokine receptor, CCR4 binds to chemokine ligands and plays a role in autoimmune diseases in humans.CCR4 Reporter 293 Cell Line is a reporter gene cell line stably expressing CCR4 and luciferase. When chemokines interact with CCR4 expressed on the cell surface, as a 7-transmembrane protein coupled with G protein, it transmits cell signals after ligand binding. Activation of G protein by chemokine receptor triggers calcium release from intracellular stores, thereby activating luciferase expression. Luciferase readings represent the activation effect of the signaling pathway and can be used to evaluate the in vitro effects of CCR4-related drugs.
