  • What is the recommended number of cells to subculture? And how many cells are expected after subculture?

The recommended number of cells to seed varies.

For example, it is suggested to seed out at ca. 0.8 x 10^6 cells/ml. The viability may drop to about 50% but cells will recover within a week; then maintain at 0.3-1.0 x 10^6 cells/ml; split 1:2 to 1:4 every second day.

  • Do we have to buy media separately?

We provide media for some products. Customers can purchase media together with products or separately. Our sales team would recommend the corresponding medium for you when inquiring.

  • Can we try a sample in a pilot experiment, and pay after the experiment works?

We do not provide samples for pilot experiment. The order will only be shipped after the full payment. And the return is not acceptable.

  • Can you provide STR report?

Yes, STR report can be provided after the purchase.

  • What is the minimum quantity you can provide for miRNA Agomir/Antagomir service?

The minimum quantity is 2 OD (1 OD corresponds to 33 μg). Please note we have significant bulk order discounts.

  • What kinds of labels you can do for miRNA Agomir/Antagomir service?

We can usually label the miRNA Agomir/Antagomir with fluorescent tag, such as FAM, CY3, etc.

  • How to convert the OD and nmol of RNA oligo?

microRNA agomirs are double-stranded, while microRNA antagomirs are single-stranded. The amount of materials are quantified in OD and both agomirs/antagomirs are synthesized to yield the same OD. In general, there is a simple calculation as follows.

    Agomir: 1 OD duplex=2.5 nmol = 33µg; Antagomir: 1 OD simplex=5 nmol = 33µg.

  • What should be provided for microRNA agomir/ antagomir synthesis?

To synthesize microRNA agomir/antagomir, you just need to provide the accession number of the mature microRNA and the quantity you need to synthesize.

  • Can the negative control (NC) of agomir and antagomir be used universally? Does NC have to be used?

It’s not universal, because agomir is a double-stranded RNA and antagomir is a single-stranded RNA. It is recommended to use NC as a control group to exclude false positive results.

  • Can we inject your tumor cells directly into mice to form a tumor? Or do we need to expand them and inject fresh cells?

In vitro cell culture is required before injection. After confirming that the cells are in good condition, take the logarithmic growth phase, count and adjust the cells amount before inoculation.
